HUDCO stage I Scheme No.11819:-

The sanction was accorded to the scheme vide G.O.NO.HD/134/POPESE/94/Bangalore Dated. 27.3.1995. The works were taken up by availing a loan of Rs.20.00 Crores from HUDCO for Construction of 1190 Quarters for Police Personnel. The Project started during the year 1995-96 has been completed and the quarters have been handed over to Police Department.

HUDCO Stage II Scheme No.12518:-

The sanction was accorded to the scheme vide G.O.NO.HD/134/POPESE/94/Bangalore. Dated. 20.09.1996 & 20.09.1997. The works were taken up by availing a loan of Rs. 20.00 Crores from HUDCO for Construction of 1016 Quarters for Police Personnel. The project started during the year 1996-97 has been completed and the quarters have been handed over to Police Department..

HUDCO Stage III Scheme No.14131:-

The sanction was accorded to the scheme vide G.O.NO.OE/143/POPESE/97/Bangalore Dated 07.01.1999. The works were taken up by availing a loan of Rs. 20.00 Crores from HUDCO for Construction of 657 Quarters for Police Personnel. The project started during the year 1998-99 has been completed and the quarters have been handed over to Police Department.

Accelerated Housing Scheme I:-

Sanctioned vide Government Order No. HD 89 POPESE 97 Bangalore dated 04.12.1999 to construct 5100 residential houses all over the State for police personnel at the cost of Rs.160 Cr in 3 years. The work was taken up in 2001 due to delay in approval to the scheme. In view of the revision of Schedule of Rates by then it was reported that only 4900 Qtrs can be built for Rs.160 Cr. The tender for works were begun in April 2001. As saving was foreseen another 156 Qtrs were added during Nov 2002. All the 5056 Qtrs taken up for construction at 160 locations have been handed over for occupation and the scheme has come to an end. The scheme was financed by HDFC and HUDCO.

Accelerated Housing Scheme II:-

Sanctioned vide Government Order No. HD 95 POPESE 2002 Bangalore dated 04.03.2003 to construct 5000 quarters at 271 locations for police personnel at a cost of Rs.180Cr. in 2 years. 4820 qtrs at 254 locations have been tendered in the four phases of tendering done so far. Out of this 126 Qtrs at 14 locations have been completed and handed over for occupation ahead of schedule; Construction of 4544 Qtrs at 222 locations is in progress. Agencies finalised and work yet to commence for 150 Qtrs at 18 locations and the construction activity would begin soon. Tenders are being processed for 5 Qtrs at 4 locations and tenders are yet to be invited for 175 Qtrs at 13 locations (site have not been located).

Construction of Non-Residential Buildings:-

Sanctioned vide Government Order No. HD 80 PBL 99 Bangalore dated 07.11.2000 to build 429 Non-residential offices at 338 locations at a cost of Rs.124Cr in 6 years commencing 2000-01 to 2005-06.

So far 488 works at 349 locations at an estimated cost of Rs. 10725.620 Lakhs have been taken up for construction in the first 5 phases. Balance 15 NRB works at 9 locations which have to be taken up in the last & 6th Phase would include Surathkal, Panambur Police Station, KSRP HQ bldg, Stadium at Koramangala, State Intelligence Bureau, etc. The drawings for these are getting ready and need to be approved by DG&IGP before the works can be tendered. Out of the works taken up 438 works at 316 locations at a cost of 83.29 crores have been handed over to the user department so far.

Non-Residential Buildings - Division-wise

Purchase of ready Built Houses:-

This Corporation has availed a loan of Rs 26.87 Crores from M/s. HUDCO vide G.O.No.OSE/174/POPESE/99 Bangalore Dated. 19.3.2001 for purchase of 1188 ready built Houses from Karnataka Housing Board (KHB) for Police Personnel at a cost of Rs. 26.87 Crores. An amount of Rs. 25.00 Crores has been paid to KHB as an advance towards this purchase on 31.3.2001. So far KHB has handed over 1132 number of houses to the Corporation. The KHB is yet to handover balance 56 Houses.

Deposit Contribution Works:-

Deposit of Rs.231, Rs.241.32 & 80.58 Lakhs (totaling to Rs.552.90 Lakhs) were received on 09/08/01, 27/04/02 & 26/04/04 respectively for construction of 10 Fire Stations and 46 Firemen Qtrs, which have been completed and handed over for occupation. So far the expenditure incurred is Rs.506.56 Lakhs.

Construction of Community Centers

Deposit of Rs. 232.4 Lakhs was received on 27/04/02 for construction 14 Community Centers for KSRP/DAR/CAR/KSPTS, of which 13 buildings have been handed over to user Dept. Work at Karwar is yet to start for want of finalization of site by SP.

Construction of 40 Qtrs and 5 NRB buildings were taken up under DC works. Finger Print Bureau building at Koramangala, RFSL Bldg, 3 Qtrs for Gr C staff amd 2 Qtrs for Gr B staff at Mangalore have been completed and handed over. Construction of Qtrs for Gr A,B,C&D staff at Madiwala & for Gr B staff at Davanagere and RFSL at Mysore & Davanagere are nearing completion. 1 SP Qtrs & 3 DySP Qtrs, 6 SI Qtrs each for FPB & FSL and Motor Vehicle garage at Madiwala are yet to be taken up.

Deposit of Rs.808.5 Lakhs, Rs.800.93 Lakhs, Rs.400.46 Lakhs & Rs.400.46 Lakhs were received on 31/10/03, 20/10/04, 23/02/05 & 23/06/05 respectively for construction of Residential and non residential buildings.. Construction of 312 Staff Qtrs & 9 NRB works at 21 locations have been taken up out of 376 Qtrs & 13 NRB works at 36 locations to be constructed in 5 years from 2002 to 2007. So far works at 22 locations for 184 Qtrs and 9 Prisons & related works have commenced of which 118 Qtrs at 10 locations viz., Kolar, KGF, Dharwad, Bidar, Mandya, KRNagar NRPura, Shimoga, Karwar and Baailhongal have already been handed over for occupation.

Out of 140 rest rooms & Toilets for women police employees, 43 have been handed over for occupation, 45 are in progress and the balance 46 are to be taken up.

Out of 55 Police Stations 7 have been handed over, 34 are in progress, agency finalised for 4, tenders being processed for 4 and 4 are yet to taken up.

On the whole under DC works, 258 Qtrs and 45 NRB works at 79 locations have been completed in this financial year. Construction works at 159 locations for 646 Qtrs & 113 NRBldgs are in progress (including tendered). Construction of 202 Qtrs and 177 NRB & other works (like Qtrs., Police Stations, Rest room for ladies employees in Police Stations, Net working in DPOs, works for R&T, etc.,) at 183 locations are yet to be taken up for construction. Preliminary works have been started in respect of these locations.

Sanctioned vide Government Order No. HD 59 PBL 2004 Bangalore dated 26.04.2005 to build Residential & Non-residential buildings at a cost of Rs.591.50 Lakhs. In the first phase the government has approved Rs. 500 Lakhs for the above works. The Government has agreed to give and execute the guarantee vide G. O no. HD 59 PBL 2005 Bangalore dated 25.08.2005, for drawing a loan of Rs. 500 lakhs for the above works.
